Balthazar, 11 ans

Composing since age 9. Playing everywhere.

Hi! I'm Balthazar, I'm 11 years old and I've been a piano fan since I was 3.

One day, for Mother's Day, I wrote my first piece: Für Maman. It was a success — everyone around me loved it. Then I composed Echoes of a Dream, followed by my favourite: X, and Für Maman 2.

To compose, I sit quietly at my piano, improvise, then transcribe the notes and edit the printable PDF. I often use simple chords, like G minor, E flat major, F major…

What I love are simple but moving melodies. Für Maman is the perfect example. I find it wonderful to explore all the combinations an instrument can offer.
